Remember, "videos on youtube" make money on clicks. Sensationalism and panic gets more clicks, so they're incentivized to turn everything into a Big Scary Controversy/etc. Whether it is or not.
I guess you are right, i may have jumped to conclusion :(
You just made me spit my coffee out with that comment
Oh okay...

Yeah that was this, i must have confused it.
Vaklve has no Monopoly, they are just reaping the benefits of having a better product.
The only rule steam really has is that the dev/pub has to maintain pricing parity. I,.e they are not allowed to have a lower base price for the same game on another platform. Which, fun-fact is a stipulation EVERY STORE HAS withe their suppliers. DIgital or otherwise.
Not having that stipulation is mistake new store owners make once and quickly correct.
I mean claiming Steam is a monopoly is like claiming McDonald's is a monopoly in fast food... it just doesn't hold up under any scrutiny.
Lots of sealed documents in the case.
Best not to speculate and simply let the courts deal with it. Not like our opinions will really push things one way or another.
If one is against it, best they can do is refuse to buy from those involved.
