that's not rudeness, that's just people making factual observations

People are not fond of spam. You have 150 guides and none of them are even remotely a guide.

Spam is easily in the top 5 most hated thing on the internet.

I'm inclined to agree. A guide would be instructions on how to make these in the first place. Not just posting them with kaomojis as the title.

And if you don't actually wish for any advice or suggestions on how to make your "guides" better. Then maybe specify that you only wish people make nice comments about them? But even then, this is the internet and you are posting in a public forum, so you can't dictate who comments or what they comments on your thread.

Besides, by your definition, aren't you being kinda rude now? You said when you don't like something, you won't engage with it but you made sure to reply those rude people and even complain about it in a separate post.

It's not rude to tell you to stop spamming your garbage as guides.

I didn’t know people on steam could be so rude???. I made a harmless post the other day about aesthetic guides & wasn’t anticipating how rude some people would be. I find it really strange. If I don’t like something I will not engage with it. Why is it okay for people on steam to be so disrespectful??. It’s really odd. Have anyone else experienced such a thing before??. And all I can do is give out love & light to the ones filled with hatred. I have no idea what I’ve done to attract these negative humans. Steam is where I come to play games & express my creativity. I let my inner child shine with my self expression. So I’m not sure why I’m encountering such rude beings. Idk I felt like I should make this post because I wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this experience as well. Xoxo :aidolheart:
i can commiserate. unfortunately, these kind of rude users are all over the internet. i myself run a successful electronic mail communications platform dedicated to providing people all over the internet the latest news on inexpensive designer handbags, unclaimed bank funds in foreign countries, and pills to elong schlongs. you would not believe the kinds of rude and, frankly, abusive messages i receive in reply.

They weren't really rude, just pointing out the guides you made - https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/id/milkyswoftcookies/myworkshopfiles/?section=guides

Aren't really guides and much like telemarketer calls making fake guides really annoy people who told you that your guides were not really guides.

the problem is the rules arent often enforced and when they are it is often with bias. So trolls run rampant on the forums abusing report function

If there is nothing to take action on, the report is ignored.

Spamming reports does nothing.

Action is only taken if the reported content is on violation of the rules.
And game community hubs have different rules than the general forums.

A bigger problem is bad actors trying to pretend they're the victim for things they've done and brought upon themselves to begin with.

If OP can't take an hint then I might actually consider going to each of their "guides" and reporting it for spam. Then we'll see who's support/mods are going to side with on this particular event.

that largely depends on if it was in a gamehub or the steam forums. Either way i find the guideline enforcement to be lacking on both (note Gamehub mods can make up their own rules)

One or the other I have a feeling that when a human stumble on 150 reports of the exact same thing... The textual and factual definition of "spamming" is automatically going to apply.

Being anonymous makes people act in ways they wouldn't in their real day to day lives.
