BAN KERNEL AC
I know Valve Is against it and I adore them for it, Steam should really ban Kernel AntiCheats, some of these anticheats are literally a data mining horror and these Data are being bought.

for anyone who doesn't know Kernel Anti Cheats means it has full access on your Windows it has no need for you to tell it what to do or how to act, literally 24/7 you are involved with it collecting Data, I understand cheaters should be banned but most of Anti Cheats can detect these things exactly the same as Kernel, Kernel is not needed.

Even now a lot of cheaters are using DMA which Kernel Anti Cheats cannot even detect so what's the point of it, This has been going on as an excuse ah we are looking for cheats but in reality it's a Data Mining FK, especially Riot Games I would 100% ask you to not Install any of their games at all, a lot of bs is involved with Data Mining even Windows but I can stop Windows from throwing Data out, but I cannot do it for Kernel Anti Cheat as it would either kick me from games or ban me if I proceed on stoping the Data collection for outcome.

Why not, Kernel Level Anti Cheats are literally useless nowdays, it doesn't collect data ram on the game itself it collects outside of everything, it's really pointless and it's literally a malware.
Unfortunately, the average player has no interest or incentive to stop playing a game just because it uses kernel level anti-cheat. It’s the same story with privacy in general, a small group of people (like you and me) genuinely care about data integrity and are willing to push uphill to preserve our digital privacy. But the average player/consumer won't do that, they'll choose convenience over confronting something that collects their digital data.

And honestly, you can't really blame them. It takes time and effort to learn about these issues and take action, and it's simply unrealistic to expect that from the majority of people.

Because of that, these practices will continue. Valve won’t push back against them either, because doing so would hurt their bottom line.

The issue is bigger than just kernel level anti-cheats.
my favorite are the ones like bf6 that require secureboot and tpm, which is so effective it prevented hacks for a whole week

So basically they have access to the locked part of this diagram?

I don't think anticheat developers care about your browsing history or your emails. The anticheat software isn't "stealing your data".

The problem is people say it's a major issue and then turn around and use services that are worse such as any kind of social media site or many types of software such as windows or even any normal phones and various apps.

Yes mostly are not aware, this is why I use a Custom OS on mobile and easily Modified Windows.

Fair point, I'm not going to argue against that. I'm a hypocrite in that regard myself.

It's almost impossible to fully preserve digital privacy unless you take extreme measures, and most of those are unrealistic to maintain in everyday life.

I don't agree with many aspects of data collection, but I put up with it. At the very least, I try to push back where I can, I use Linux, install custom ROMs for my smartphone, avoid using accounts unless absolutely necessary, and so on.

Idc about my browsing history in general, these data are being sold where hackers can buy them people that will be doing harm, they have easy access, a lot of clone proxy and all sorts could literally have access to your phone number, email, accounts in Investments etc.. it would just copy your pc and get all sort of cookies as you actually using your pc and your location, It can also hack into your steam account without bothering on 2fa easy bypass.

Do you realize this, Hacking is made so easily because these Data's are literally being sold for profit and people don't care, they are not sold for ADS, they are easily handed to harmful humans with literally no care on earth.

Even GabeN himself tried explaining it years ago...

But the average person still thinks browsing history data collection is still happening with Kernel Level anti-cheats but they don't. It was the Cheats themselves that had this data collection crap baked into them.

:nkCool:
I don't even care to engage in this kind of discussion. As soon as we enter into a discussion with a program that has more power over my own system than me, the SuperAdmin... It is already a non sequitur. The answer is simply no.
don't play the game who use kernel anti cheat then? you sound like a Bird Stuck in A Cage Therapist- google that

nope, data is sold for marketing purposes. it's literally a multi billion dollar industry.

I don't. Plain and simple.

I even played League of Legends for about a decade. As soon as they added Vanguard I uninstalled it. It even tried to install Vangard on my coputer without any warning or even mention of it too. That's another HUGE red flag. Good thing my firewall told me they were trying to insert themselves in my kernel before it was too late...

If they absolutely need to take control of my computer solely because they have to sell 500$ skins... Sorry, I'm gone. Easy as. Doesn't matter I used to promote the game for a decade prior. That's it.
