Black friday
I noticed that Railway Empire 2 had a launch price of €49.99, but this Black Friday it was increased by €10 and the new price is €59.99, discounted by 45%. A complete disservice; I never expected that. You're idiots. Antonio

Black Friday is itself a myth. Item are on sale in summer, prices increase, then along comes Black Friday and the increase becomes a 'saving'.

Who the heck is Antonio? And why is he an idiot?
Stores in the real world have been caught doing this tactic. It's proper dishonest and should be called out for what it is.

I even made a thread detailing a shop who was selling a television on sale but I was eying up this television for some time but week before the sale started, the television was increased in price and the sale price was almost the same price as a month before.

So guys, please be careful of this dishonest practice.
Common tactic. Everyone does it. You can report it to the BBB if you live in the use, or the uk equilavent or your countries equilavalent.
Increasing the price triggers a 30-day cooldown which prevents them from giving it a discount.

The better business bureau isn't a governmental agency. They have no ability to compel a seller to do anything. The organization is basically a publicity stunt to boost consumer confidence.

It is also not a crime for a subsequent sale to return a products price to its previous retail price. That is provided enough time has passed between the price hike and that subsequent sale.

That kind of thing happens all of the time without any ill intent. When suppliers increase their own prices. Their retailer customers often increase their prices. To preserve their current profit margin.

I'm not saying there aren't shady retailers, but there needs to be some kind of pattern.

Yea, well i experienced when people did it on purpose. When my house was flooded in a hurricane and evacuated, this gas station was selling gas 10X the normal price. I experienced this myself when i had to leave my hometown due to a hurricane/typhoon flooded it.

My house was to the left in this image. 300 feet in fact under 12 feet of water.

It made me homeless for 2 years, while i had crooked contractors work on my house doing a bad job. Still fixing things they screwed up when they built my house.

Also adjusting prices is a "normal" thing nowadays even for really old games, Capcom for example did that on most of their titles up to 100%+ a few month ago, at least in some regions.
sadly steam cant slowly raise prices and make a sale with the original price.
