Free games only drop cards if they have an in-game market inside their game to spend money on. Every $9 spent in-game give you a single card drop.

They sell keys already used or obtained via illegal means (like using stolen payment methods).

I have bought and sell steam keys on grey market, as long as you check the sellers feedback, you are fine.

Not all of them, Pixel Puzzles Ultimate and The Descendant you get cards with DLCs

Halo: Infinite is F2P but its campaign is a DLC you have to pay for.

Not usually, but there are a few exceptions, like Risk, there was some maps I wanted to play, and since I play it single player, it was the quickest way to play the maps that were part of a map pack. If I ever get around to playing path of exile, I might buy an extra storage space, but I doubt I would buy anything else, and it transfers to PoE 2, so it is a better value. As long as you realize most free games will shut down sometime and whatever you put into it will disappear, it is up to decide if it was worth the money.

That's because the Multiplayer was launched as a free to play before the paid campaign was released.
So instead of making them separate apps, they made the campaign a paid DLC of the free multiplayer.
