1 -- Sales dates were never meant to be publicly announced ahead of time. It used to be a point Valve made clear to publishers and developers. But they simply couldn't stop someone from leaking them in advance.
2 -- Epic has the same refund window and terms.
3 -- LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
Valve are not saints. Never have been, never will be. The only reason they don't seek exclusives or arrange weekly free game is because people let them get too big. They're not a monopoly, they simply have a large enough undeserved piece of the pie that they don't need to do anything.
Apparently, it’s very easy these days to slap that label on something right after reading it.
What I said above is valid.
Let’s say you bought Hogwarts Legacy on Steam.
Then, within a week, the game suddenly became free.
How would you react?
Would you really stay on a platform you don’t trust, just because it occasionally gives away free games?
You’re absolutely right. I wouldn’t wait at any platform’s doorstep just for free games. Even if it costs $60, I choose to stay here knowing that a game I buy won’t be given away for free someday.
My reaction would be: Why the hell did i bought the game 1 week before the winter sale. Or
♥♥♥♥ if i waited 1 week i could have save some money but it doesnt matter i was ok with the price i paid and i still am.
I will never buy something on Epic or make account to get free games but what you are doing is the same thing this Steam hater are doing. Praising one side and demonizing the other.
I would react the same way as if i had bought the game last year at release on PS5........i would not really care, as i would not have bought the game at all if i would have cared about the price to pay....
Then you might want to change how you write, as several of your sentences bear a strong resemblance to AI generated text formatting. Plus, the same sort of mistakes AI make with their reasoning and points are prevalent in your conclusions. For example, your claim about Steam having a better refund system.
I wanted to approach you with kind way and you are still trying to investigate my sentences. Why are you critisizing? I can write it both ways to express myself. Please, do not cross the irrelevant lines.
The only thing I've redeemed on Epic is Fallout 3, so that I would be able to play it DRM free via New Vegas on Steam instead. Other than that, I don't have much confidence in EGS financial model right now, and so I won't be building a library there beyond that.
Also, check Ben Lubar's link above as Steam does also give away games fairly frequently with the developers choosing.
I started to redeem games at the beginning but I ended up never playing any of them and so I just gave up even collecting the free games.
Amazon Prime has given away GOG copies of Fallout 3 and New Vegas multiple times through Prime Gaming so that's where I get my freebies.

The fact you only latch onto the claims of writing like an LLM (your OP has a 65% probability of being LLM generated, FYI) and not on the points that dispute your claims is highly telling. If you didn't generate your OP with an LLM, you'd have simply ignored such claims and focused on the counterclaims to your statements. So why not try answering those, instead?
Did you not check Epic's refund policy before claiming it was worse than Valves? How exactly do you believe it to be worse? We could go over your other two claims, too, but this is the one that's most easily checked. Which begs the question of why you didn't.
