If you don't want to see them, keep the filter enabled.
If minors are seeing them, then their parents need to do a better job of controlling their Steam account.
Just turn the filters back on again and you won't see the 18+ content
From the SSA you were supposed to read:
They are no worse than the thousands of graphic murder simulators on the platform or any of the other genres that glorify a range of criminal activities. It's all fiction. If you can't tell the difference, stop playing games.
Also, turn the adult filters back ON. If you didn't want to see adult content, why did you turn them OFF?
_You_ have some sort of problem, I am sorry, there isn't anything we can do.
_You_ have to keep _yourself_ safe by keeping the adult filter off. that's it.
Stop trying to control what media other people consume because _you_ have a problem that no one can help you with.
Again, I'm sorry you are experiencing this, you aren't the only one that is disturbed by adult content, there are more like you that feel this way towards adult content and my advice to them is the same: KEEP YOUR ADULT FILTER OFF.
Much love and take care!
Even if I think that those games would need a proper age gate (aka really verifying that one is the legal age in the country to consume it), how exactly are those games put children at risk?
Most TV shows show a lot more questionable stuff in that regard.
Will you show that same morality with the numerous games that contain murder, gore, heavy violence, sexual implications, drugs and all other manner of distasteful stuff?
Or are you going to finally realise that almost no one cares that Steam sells these types of games and has done, successfully, for almost a decade?
The same can be said of all the gore fests on Steam. Those are bordering on being illegal far more than a little glimpse of a booby. And Steam really shouldn't be associated with the sickos that crave that disgusting violence.
Maybe parents should do a better job in what their kids see in the first place
