can't even name bismillah :(
No price shown even when wishlisted.
I'm sure its absurdly high, but thats never stopped people before.
How about Baytullah Kaaba, the rock in the Grand Mosque of Mecca all Muslims must make pilgrimage to at least once in their lifetime?
Well, we do need shrines in our homes in order to pay homage to Gabe, our lord and savior. Not everyone can afford to make pilgrimage to Valve HQ in the US.
Valve could sell detachable front plates with photo of Gabe printed on it and make a killing.
It's clearly targeting an average gamer, not enthusiasts that want to want 5090 to run all top of the line games on 4k Ultra. According to Steam Hardware survey most people actually have same specs or less than Steam Machine has. 1080p is still the standard resolution (4k is used by less than 5% of users), most people have 16 GB RAM or less and most GPU's in use have 8 GB or less VRAM.
If the price is right, for average gamer it might last for 3 years. With memory expansion, a year or 2 more. By that time, if Steam Machine is successful enough and Valve is committed enough, there should be second generation Steam Machine available. If mini PC manufacturers can produce new model each year, Valve with massive amount more resources should be able to make new model of Steam Machine once every 3 years. That is, IF they commit to it.
RAM can (hopefully, was it confirmed somewhere or is it soldered?), VRAM can not.
agree. 8GB VRAM is not enough. 12 is min but 16 would have been perfect
Same for RAM, 8G ram is a bit low 16 min and 32G would be the good spot.
I am not sold on this.
