No paypal problems with battle.net
Just entered battle.net again, after absence, and paying with paypal is not any problem, living in Switzerland, being swiss citizen, having AMEX and PAYPAL which work usually, but not with Steam.

So I don't believe the story that Paypal can't process my currency.

PayPal's payment processor was the one that said no, not Valve/Steam.

its not so much as they can't, but there is issue with one of their processors not WANTING to for some regions that is trying to be worked out. Possibly due to adult content on the site which isn't an issue with battle.net

So in the meantime you will need to use a different payment method

Nope, I have two payment methods for net and games, which is AMEX and Paypal. So I won't spend money on Steam. Other gaming platforms can get my money. Sorry to say so.

Just exclude the currencies having problems with adult content. Sure CHF is not a problem.

Just another point: Why is this not going public?

This is nothing else then censorship by payment methods. Steam is big enough to make up a public discussion about this.

It wasn't Valve's decision to make.

There are some in this very sub-forum. They started months ago.

Very sorry to say but you living under a rock for the past 6 months or so is not Valve responsibility. No gamer calling themselves a gamer don't know about this.

It was discussed in public... months ago.

Many in the tech community wrote articles about it, it was discussed ad nauseam across social networks, YTubers thirsty for ad revenue posted videos about how Steam/Valve caved, these very forums talked about it non-stop until the UK enforced their online safety act which brought about credit card age verification, so the topic changed to that for a bit.

Where have you been?

They did. If PayPal is not available in your region, you currency is one of the ones for which the problem applies.

You don't need to believe the story of it, simply the facts of it.

Now fact is, other US games have no problem, Steam has. So another fact is, as long as I have no payment option, I simply don't buy anything. No money, no business, also a fact. And not my problem, in the end. To mention all facts.

Because the payment processors specifically targeted Steam.

That's why.

I simply stated facts should be believed, what you buy or are capable of buying is in fact your problem.

US games..?

Steam is not a game. It is a store front. I believe no US "games" have a trouble with what you're talking about.

Battle.net is also a store front.

Again, this wasn't Valve's decision.
