Just remember a lot of games do not officially support linux for many reasons and when you do something like this it would best to download and reinstall each game again to limit the amount of issues as it's not usually as simple as moving the game files to the new OS directly.
You simply need to download the games you want to play from your library to the new OS.
and some have even bigger than me
and atm it seems the biggest problem is simply teh fact that all my drives are stil ntfs
confirmed with one game that simply moving it to my linux formated drive that it was able to launch and run instantly
if i happen across any otehr problems down the line i may reconsider -re-downloading. but step 1 seems to be killing all my windows format drives (ill also check the link ou posted)
i have not used any so i can not give any kind of recommendation
but if you search for it i am sure you will find some to read about
i need to do this with a number of drives anyway cause they have lingering windows profiles that are like a decade old from previous reinstalls
i dont mind the time it takes to actually do the transfers and wipes... i just dont want to have to manually select each and every game via steams function of transfering games to a different library/drive as just doing the lib that had a few 100gb was 60 games... what am i going to do about the almost full 6 TB drive i also have to migrate twice as well as wipe
i think i may be able to get away with just cut and pasting steam folder on those drives not much of a choice i suppose TT
EDIT: and my largtest steam drive also has somehow wound up with TWO 500gb recovery partitions on it from windows so a full format is a must....
