has anyone been getting friend request from random people?
i have been getting friend requests from random people that i have never seen or share any mutuals with and they seem like bots.
i tried accepting one of them for like a week and they just say "hi" or "hello" every time i go online and then when i respond they don't say anything until i go online again the next day they say "hi" or "hello"
it getting really annoying, just wanted to know if anyone else goes through this or is it just me?

Hide your bragging rights inventory and it'll stop. People are trying to feel you out for scams cause your profile advertises all of your ♥♥♥♥.

likely being targeted by scammers or hackers. I found that after making my profile private I stopped getting those invites. Something on your account is enticing them to want to scam your or hack your account, so if you hide it they can't see the kind of "value" your account holds.

Could likely be scam bots
They try to send out phishing links nornally going like "can you vote for X team" or "get soke free item" and stuff
They give you a link with a fake login to Steam that give them the info and takes your stuff
If you got no reason to add someone dont is my advise
