Has Steam been getting DDoSed?
As of last week, Steam has been going down more often than usual. After Deadlock was updated last Monday evening, Steam went down. Now TF2 casual servers and inventories are down since yesterday. What the hell's going on?

Yes Steam and numerous other sites/platforms have been getting DDosed. Not sure if it's still ongoing but it definitely happened.

Yup. a lot of complaints about accessing Steam, I've also been seeing complaints about Steam's sync not working properly, might be caused by does DDoS attacks.

Damn these hackers.

If they (Valve) use DDoS protection, any attacks should not be a big deal at all.

(such as Cloudflare or similar, paid service)

These were are different events where only the first major outage was due to a DDoS attack and the game servers are 2 unique events unto themselves.
