Previously I looked into the Asus Rog Ally but I’m not super tech savvy to be able to use that from my understanding it’s not the most user friendly.
Granted, it’s not the most powerful handheld out there anymore, but it’s still fantastic value for money, and offers a great user experience!
The Deck is particularly great for tackling backlogs, indie titles, and to be fair, a significant amount of AAA releases too (obviously you might need to use lower graphics settings and expect around 30FPS for the most recent AAA releases.)
You can still play many pre-COVID era AAA games on High or even Max settings though!
I would say, where you really need to be careful is when it comes to online multiplayer games.
Sadly, there is a fair few out there which simply won’t run on the Deck due to incompatible anti-cheat, so if you do play online, just double check the games you want to play are actually playable on the Deck before getting one.
I think I actually prefer playing games on my Deck as opposed to my main gaming PC, due to how nice it ‘feels’ to use, and how quick and easy it is to pick up for quick gaming sessions.
I use my gaming PC instead for those games where the Deck doesn’t offer the best performance, or where you really need a big screen to enjoy them on!
If you're in one of the few countries where the deck is sold on Steam, yes. Any other region, no.
