Steam deleted all my non Steam games again
Along with the save files data. WTF? Help?

I guess you just discovered why I don't use Steam as a "general" launcher. Not sure what causes this or how to fix it. I just gave up using it this way.

Why would anybody even consider doing that? Not having Steam in the way is a bonus and not only in a single manner...

because i'm on steam deck and there is no other way to launch .exe games but by using steam's protons. The removal of shortcuts most likely deleted my compatdata as well which stores the save files of the games
