The new UI is so big.
The new UI is so big. It would be ideal to return the old one, but is it possible to reduce its size at least? The game pages in the store are unbearably large. It's uncomfortable to look at the game page
Edit: okay im gonna just use browser version for shopping. (I can reduce the UI in the browser))

It's uncomfortable everytime something changes here, you'll get used to it and see no problem after some time
you can minimise it to half or quarter of your pc screen...... : )

I'm not arguing, but I've never liked big UI. I'm uncomfortable when 1-2 things take up most of the screen, knowing that more things can fit on the screen. It's like I'm playing a shooter with the lowest FOV and constant zoom.

I had this today as well, everything just appeared much bigger. Here's how I fixed it:- Click "Steam" (top left) >Settings> Interface> Scale text and icons to match monitor settings (requires restart), this box was ticked for me by default for some reason, just un-tick it and restart and it should go back to normal.

P.S, if the text is too small to read when you do this just go to Steam>Settings>accessibility and adjust the UI scale to your liking.

Hope this helps :)

I don't use the Steam app (for anything other than launching games), so I can speak only about the store pages in a browser, and I definitely agree. I don't mind the wider page, but the larger picture frame (for the promo video and images) is a killer. It's so large that the price no longer fits on the page; you have to scroll down just to see the price. And when there are stupid banners (such as a publisher sale banner) at the top of the page, it's even worse. Then, even the buttons (add to wishlist, follow, and ignore) don't fit onto the screen.

This was clearly a change made exclusively for people using a higher-resolution (such as 4K), with no thought given to the people who use 1920x1080 or below.

I could probably get used to it and grow to accept it IF (and only if) they modify it so that the price is displayed on the page when the page loads (in other words, the price must be visible when the top of the page is visible). Setting the browser page scaling to 90% gets close to this, but then the text ends up being too small.
