Morrowind. It's crazy how much freedom this game gives you. And it respects you as a player by not constantly holding your hand.
Does it have to be a game on Steam?
If yes I can't answer.
If no, I wouldn't answer anyways. Too many great games out there to pick just one.
Morrowind is a great response. Skyrim and Oblivion could hold their own too. My mind immediately thought of Fallout: New Vegas though.
I hadn't heard that as i haven't ever had that issue, but can definitely see it crashing for others. That said i also have never had it run successfully with mods, which is sad because i'd love to mod it stably.
Do those fan patches already get thrown in with the GOG version? Because I don't recall ever having a problem playing it through GOG.
GOG, being the omega chads they are, releases their games with pre installed patches/fixes so they work on new hardware. sadly, steam does not care to do that.
