What if your info gets leaked Online!?
The UK has basically killed gaming all togther.
Valve has to follow the laws of a country to operate Steam in that country.
Don't forget that if it was up to them they would go much further than just requiring you to verify to view 18+ content.
They can easily look at my face that i'm above 18 years old.
I don't need to show my ID to buy alcohol or mature games.
The internet is a whole different platform vs real life.
They can in fact steal your ID and use it for identity fraud.
I don't live in the UK, But I sure as hell will call them out for it !
They lost their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ minds over there !
I would honestly just block the UK. ♥♥♥♥ their utopia ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ !
100% agree. People need to fight back at their corrupted goverment.
Acknowledging the reality of the situation (the Govt did this, Steam has to follow national laws, you're stuck with it) is different from "defending" it.
The thing to do is complain to Steam so that they add more of the 'govt approved' verification options, so people without CCs can do it.
