Stolen steam wallet purchase

I have had someone bought 3 copies of rust using my steam wallet and gifted it to 3 strangers. I dont know how it happened. I have steam 2FA on. I wish buying and gifting also needed the 2FA confirmation.

Thats besides the point. What i want to know now is what can i do to reclaim those games or how to get my refund?

GO TO EACH game in the purchase menu. say i would like a refund. i did not purchase this game. and than explain your situation to steam support./

At one point in time you were careless with your account credentials, meaning you either fell for a phishing scheme or used your password with a skin trading site and you were hijacked.
might wanna secure your account before you do any refunds, or the hijacker will just send more gifts.

Your account was phished / hijacked. Follow steps 1- 8 to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/

2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.

3. Deauthorize all other devices https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage

4. Change passwords from a trusted/clean device.

5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage

6. Revoke the API key https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

7. Make sure your steam recovery email account is secure and still accessible.

8. Do a PW reset to recover any steam points spent in last 14 days.

Steam will NOT return lost funds or Items.

If any lost items are from a Trade Protected game, you might be able to recover them. See:

I have the same problem, an account seemed to have compromised my account from another country and had gifted "Rust" to an unknown account (Which was somehow in my friendlist). Ran through hardware check and all, changed both my steam and email password, and logged out of all devices. I would say try to refund the game and wait for the steam authorities to reply

Theyve replied and say they cant refund because game has been redeemed. i mean The game is connected to the scammers why cant they just deactivate the game and refund my money? so vexing.

Because scammers were selling gifts under the table and then pretending they "got hacked" to get them back.
