the PC release for GTA6 is a whole separate development process that might not have even started yet. this was the console release for GTA6 that has been delayed. we're not getting it on PC till up to 2 years after it's console release if the release of GTA V is anything to compare it to.
also... a year ago they just booted 4 million steam Deck users from being able to play their game online. i am not sure they care very much about Steam OS
Rockstar did not have any knowledge about it.
If anything, GTA 6 is probably delayed because they just fired a bunch of game developers for trying to unionize.
Yeah. Rockstar made the announcement nearly a week before (Nov 6, 2025 ) that Valve announcement.
We won't get GTA 6 on PC until atleast 2028
The PC version of GTA VI will at the earliest release 1-2 years after the console release.
That was all already known.
Also the specs of the Steam Machine are beginner level. Its nice for such a small package but it wont be enough to play GTA VI decently in any major capacity. Maybe at 1080p/very low graphic settings.
Rockstar definitely wont delay their major flagship for a release on a mini PC system.
I dont think any developer is making games for the Steam Machine at all, as that would mean creating native Linux builds of their games, instead of "emulating" Windows APIs.
Games like GTA or AAA in general is expected to have delays for any one reason, which is why indies usually say "Coming Soon" or "it'll be ready when it's ready" because AAA customers complain when those games get delayed.
