It will use any controller that Steam Input supports. Valve doesn't force things like that. My question was whether the Steam Machine came with the new Steam Controller as trying to get both at the same time with bots would be annoying.

You have no idea how much it will cost. If you want overpriced controllers how much is that xbox elite thingy? And the overpriced PlayStation one their version of the elite.

The steam machine is a computer, you can do anything with it, including using any controller you like.

It'll work with any controller you can already use Steam with. Though you'll probably want to buy the Steam Controller since it'll be a better experience in PC games than most others out there on account of trackpads and motion control.

Most likely it won't considering how when you wishlist it only shows the GabeCube alone. Honestly that might be the best decision since it wouldn't force consumers buy the controller with the console. Although a bundle would be cool if they give a discount.

I didn't even think about them making a bundle option available. They might just make tons of controllers and it will be easy enough to get one. I also forgot that Valve does the queue thing since it was so long ago when I bought my Deck.

it comes with 8 gb graphics ram only, isnt that low in 2026 ?

i mean gta 6 and newer games are coming, what will i do with 8 gb vram ?

Pretty sure it'll come with the new Steam Controller, since it has its adapter built in, and can be turned on with the controller Steam button from a completely shut down state just like a console.

It is low but if the price is right its fine, not everyone cares about playing the latest crap.

Hopefully you won’t have to. Hopefully like the Steam Deck before it the purchase will be made through your Steam Account and hopefully only established Steam accounts get a protected window to order first.

If a bot has been making Steam purchases and playing Steam games like a normal person would, I think it's fine if they buy a computer. It sounds like they're doing a pretty good job being a normal person and they've earned it.
