Many users here are primarily interested in games, fun, and their own pleasure. Anything beyond that is sometimes even met with harsh insults. Even when improvements are made, e.g. for safety, they are often taken for granted.
Serious criticism? Nah, even developers say things like, "I don't care, but how did you like my game?" or "So what? I'm operating in a legal gray area, I'm allowed to do that." Responsibility? What's that?
Many developers and publishers here also think that they are untouchable on Steam, whether it's product safety, customer safety or other legal issues.
That's where one really have to begin with.
I'm sure I've had my hands deeper in the gust of a game them most here.
But antihacks work by definitions and why they are so easy to get around.
I've not heard of any viable solution, people can blame the devs but BF6 was hacked in beta. It was hacked the day it dropped. From what I have read redsec may be the most heavily hacked on released game in the franchise's history. So what developers are doing now seems pretty ineffectual. It also seems all we have.
If some one has read some viable solution please link it.
Second, the Anti-Cheat needs sample data of various versions of the cheats to be able to detect said cheats.
Anti-Cheats are not some miracle cure, there is a ton of work involved.
Then you would only be playing single player games.
No it's anti-hack. All hacks are cheats but not all cheats are hacks.
"Anti-hack: The protection of computer systems and data from unauthorized intrusion, which can include software, hardware, and practices designed to prevent or counter hacking attacks".
Teaming in single player is a cheat, not a hack. Taking advantage of a game glitch is a cheat not a hack.
Second is right, yea that is how it works. They get the script data from the game saves on the server.
It's a fingers and thumbs thing. All hacks are cheats but not all cheats are hacks.
Sorry, misnomers are a thing for me. Words have actual means if they didn't bob beard it yup dog car boarder, right?
