2) You will never lose games you have bought, even if they've been delisted from the store. Once you buy the license, it's yours and tied permanently to your account.
3) You can buy what you want with your own money here, so long as what you want is available on the store, nothing more.
So what's got you so worked up?
You've made vague and baseless accusations about a loss of service. Just provide clarity and we can all move on.
I have already made several points about the frustrations you listed in your first paragraph.
You will never lose your ability to download games that have been delisted from the store, so long as you bought the game before it was delisted. It will always remain in your library.
Assuming they will eventually make this impossible is just you wanting to hate them for something else.
Ok then here's a list
1. games have been being removed from the platform because of new rules that go against steams original TOS which brought a lot of us here and shouldn't have been changed on a whim because payment processors got butt hurt about stuff they had no right to dictate.
2. they have been trying to play both sides of the payment processor conflict rather then defending our rights this has destroyed my trust and others trust in their word, ability to do their job with out bias, and the worth of their TOS since they changed it without a fight.
3. incidents have come to light lately that the moderation team may have members wrongfully pushing an anti Porn / anti Japanese agenda which is blocking games from being released even though they don't break any of the rules one such case that was brought to my attention recently is a horror game that was entirely built around using steam that game is Red Pine Lake. the reason for it's denial had nothing to do with the game at all it was a promotional image of a girl in a swim suit standing next to a lake slightly to the right of center screen.
this and many other details have given me good reason to believe steam is not going to live up to any of their promises and if that is the case then I WILL get a lawyer and take them to court to get my money back.
Because...I've got a few games that were delisted like a decade ago, that still run with minimal tweaks...
Which should be applauded, that Steam's removing them.
That "anti-Japanese agenda" is basically just cleaning up sexualized images of characters under 18.
1) Games have been delisted for depicting minors (or characters that can be assumed to be minors) sexually or in sexual situations.
2) They removed a handful of fringe adult content games that depicted minors sexually in every form. You also don't know what went on, or didn't go on, behind the scenes between Valve and these payment processors on the issue.
3) What incidents? Moderators don't have the power to allow or disallow games on the store. This is determined during the review process when a game is submitted to Steam, before being put onto the store. If a game is disallowed, it's not because moderators have some agenda (they don't, because official Steam mods are an outsourced company).
Best of luck taking them to court over any of this. None of it is illegal.
Hope the chat with your lawyer goes well
1. that is a blanket statement that is objectively wrong on 90% of all affected games and often used as a cover statement to hide wrong doing
Best of luck taking them to court over any of this. None of it is illegal.
2) realy trying to push that lie huh can you even list a single game that actully had this said content I don't think you can.
3.You don't know do you wow ok keep living under a rock Naively thinking every person in a position of power won't abuse it it's not my responsiblity to wake you up
