Their policy over the last few years has been absolutely horrible. It all started with the removal of dislikes and it all went downhill from there.
Many fan service games, with zero pornography in them, are forced behind the AO curtain simply because they have an anime aesthetic. Meanwhile, games like Cyberpunk 2077 (that are filled with porn), are not behind that same curtain.
So you are factually and objectively wrong.
Meanwhile, American media prohibits the use of swear words and has done for decades.
It's absurd, but it's not what you're aiming for, OP
That is not something New and they only add more stuff which falls under that.
It's ok, I'm closer to retirement than 18.
See, this is in direct contrast to all the doom scenarios that people spouted before: "They're taking fan service and pr0n games away!", none of that happened.
They never "came" for adult games in the way people claimed. So yah, this is just building on the initial fear mongering.
The "fan service" where games get removed is the ones depicting minors in inappropriate manners. The rest of the games are sold without issues if they dont violate laws or valves content rules. Been quite a few "theyre coming for x y z next" but nothing happens. Google being google is of zero surprise to anyone that's been watching how google has been operating.
It's not effective.
edit: and yeah, Youtube's always been silly with it's rules. I haven't been able to watch a good % of game trailers on there for years, because "omg, evil content! Age gate!" and I refuse to make an account. Trailers I've seen before or from other sources, and that I know aren't "icky". Like Control or Skyrim.
