Is there a way to not have to wait a year for steam family changes?
I am wanting to switch steam family's to a different one but I have to wait a whole year. I'm wondering if there's a way I can switch without waiting that long.

No. The cool down is intentional to stop abuse of the system.

There is no way to circumvent the cooldown.

Also, the time starts from when you joined your current family. Assuming you have been with your current family for 4 months, your wait to join another is down to 8 months.

Steam family is for family members in the same household.... not for friends.

You can contact Steam Support. They've been willing to cancel the cooldown in exceptional cases at least once that I'm aware of.
