steam is down?

There have been some DDoS attacks on multiple gaming sites/clients the last 1-2 days, seems this one was targeted at Steam.
There was an attack yesterday too with Steam being down but it was much shorter.

its too early for steam maintenance, also steam maintenance doesnt make steam load this slow (it was down at the time of this thread.)

Dunno for how long. I was too busy playing single player game and almost failed to notice this major server hiccup. It seemed rather severe even by Tuesday standards, both on client (black screen) and browser (errors).

maintenance is at 6 pm est, not 1 pm, this is the second crash today, earlier it was down for several hours

i can look at workshop and queue a mod but then it just says i have no internet when i try to download it

Im having the same issue. I was trying to head to the workshop to download some new SWEPs for GMod & i been struggling to get the downloads to work.

According to Articles I read a massive DDoS was suspected as other Platforms went down at the same time. Something about Aisuru Botnet. Nothing has been confirmed though.
