Activity List Updating With Purchases but Not Free Demos

I noticed this a long time ago but could never understand why

So when you buy new games in the Activity it says "Your profile now owns X new games or You now own this game and that game, so others can see what new games you purchased or own but how come it doesn't' add demos?

I added 5-6 demos on my list last night and downloaded them but in the activity it doesn't say I added these 5-6 games? I get they are free and demo's but why doesn't steam record them in the activity so other's can see what free demo's you got or added and downloaded?
Demo games are just as important as full games in my opinion.

If i saw in the activity area that someone added a demo to their list, I might go and look at it and be like, OH that looks goodm I'll get it too".

Why doesnt steam record demo's youve added or downloaded?

In the activity it will say you played them for the first time. Other than that, you can try talking to people and recommending the demo.

I noticed that an hour go it said I played "demo" for the first time, but it doesnt say I added it to my library, oh well, just a thing steam doesnt record. Thats ok thanks anyway.
Still good it says I played that demo :)
