The new trading card security system SUCKS!!!!!!!
So I go to try to buy all the missing cards I need for a badge at once and steam tells me I need to confirm purchase thru my email......I go to my email open the security message and confirm that i want to make the purchase.....then renter the steam market place and try again and it tells me the same thing over and over again. I can still buy games no problem or email confirmations but when it comes to a .11 cent trading card.......ALERT ALERT lets get the NSA in on this purchase.....

keep your steam client open in the marketplace, when confirming via the email or app

It is still open i just tab out to chrome and open email then clcik back into open steam app....
I’m glad someone brought this up. It has been impossible for me to get trading cards since this update. I verify on the app and the purchase just never goes through.

I use the steam app, i just had to do this to sell a bunch of stuff. I can list a bunch and then just click confirm straight away. Same with buying the cards, i was also having trouble with the email but was super easy on the app :)

Use the Steam app instead of an email.

So to buy trading cards we have to let Steam Data mine our phones....Hell No?

That new notification that tells you to confirm your purchase needs to stay open until you confirmed it. If you close it you can still confirm but nothing will happen.

I agree with you 100%, Steam's security is so tight that it makes buying/selling a lot of items extremely difficult.

There is a solution that was developed for this, depending on how tech savvy you are I don't know if this will help you (Hopefully Steam doesn't block this Github link)

Try to use ChatGPT if you don't understand how to use this solution.

By the way this doesn't solve the email problem, you still have to mass confirm the items being bought/sold, I suggest you connect your Steam to your smartphone and do it through the app to make it easier compared to the email method.

But yeah, you are absolutely right. Steam's security measures are obstructing mass trading and this needs to be resolved.

The Steam Android app doesn't ask for any permissions to access your Android smartphone data so you don't have to worry about any data mining. Hopefully this helps!
