Fun looter shooters with great progression & ideally co op?
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a fun looter shooter that has rewarding grind, solid progression, and ideally doesn’t truly “end.” I loved Borderlands, but once you finish the game, that’s mostly it. For example, something like Path of Exile has an endgame that keeps going

I’d prefer a game with coop so I can play with friends or meet new people, but I’m open to single player if it’s really good. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor looks interesting, but since it’s solo only, I’m wondering if there are better alternatives that scratch the same itch.

Btw, as a R&M fan, what'd you think of High on Life?

Some recommendations for you not necessarily based on what you're looking for on this thread but some of the others you've posted as well (for example you made 1 about cool games for dads or something like that):

Looter shooter only fun when you make it fun. They are not meant to be played for the stories, if you pick the most op character and get into the game just for experience the story, in looter shooter game. Then every game on that genre will be boring, POE not even looter shooter, its not fall to same category. If you want have fun in looter shooter, take character that seems have the most interesting/complex skilltree then build it. borderlands have wide variety of character with skilltree, the most fun character are not the most op one but rather the restricted one. It might wont annihilate every every enemies but it will be fun when you came up with your own gun and own builds.

If you not find the idea repeatly playing campaign and gunning down mostly same enemies for better loot, then perhaps looter shooter is not for you. Borderlands 2 always being praised for endgame content and the fact you cant find it fun, its proof you not like the idea repeating campaign, thats the whole point being looter shooter, borderlands4 being critize by fans not have endgame content. If you want infinite grindfest with "new storyline" everytime you play, the only option you have is either destiny 2 or warframe. Since they online game and always have more new story to play.

As for Lootershooters... OP you can't go wrong with Borderlands 2... Yeas its old but it is hella fun.

I am confused, the OP is asking for suggestions for looter shooters. Warframe is a looter shooter that meets all of his criteria.

Am I missing something?

Edit: I mean, other than the fact that this thread was necroed from January...

You've got four(?) guns and one melee weapon on you. That sounds like shooting.
