No. All those steps are voluntary not mandatory.
Im guessing you did not read the Terms of Services when you signed up for the game? I imagine your one of those individuals that clicks accept and not read it, but what is funny they can put money charges and other things in those terms, so it is always good to read them if you can.

EA games: Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further.
Yet we still get ocasional whining like "At this point when I see "early access" I move along and don't look back"
How exactly? The terms of service from day one, have always stated the game could shut down. Plus, there's prior history of all the other similar Atelier games being shut down. And if that wasn't enough, for anyone who made a recent in-game purchase, refunds are being issued -- as they always have when similar games have shutdown.
But then, the fact you called it "trash" pretty much tells me you never even played the game and are just listening to some clout chasing grifter who wants you to be mad at the latest "drama", that, for anyone who has every played a game like this, knows is common and nothing drama worthy at all.
Dunno I mean this AI plugin I got for Chrome seemingly filled all that in, and also started playing Fortnite! I think it might be playing Marvel Rivals too! These new malware are just doing nasty stuff let me tell you.
I fins it curious how pekmople are being ripped off when said people know beforehand what they're buying.
Unless they had false expectations they created themselves, of course.
Personally, I would love to see more game preservation options, and things like MMOs have single player offline versions. But somebody still has to foot the bill for that kind of stuff. And I have a feeling it isn't going to be you.
The silly thing is, he's whining about an F2P game with a gacha model from a franchise known for all its previous similar F2P gacha models games to be shut down with a year or three of launch. The only surprising thing about this particular announcement is that it is only the "Global" version that's shutting down. The original Japanese version will continue service.

It's the best defence we have against this practice. Hopefully it can gather enough signatures to proceed through the next stage.
