What violates EU law?

You should be able to submit a manual refund request via the option "I have a question about this purchase" or whatever it's called these days. Keep in mind that the first answer you get is final.

76.7 hours game time is just a tad over the 2 hours refund time limit, you might have got a refund after 3 or maybe 4 hours but 76.7 hours,

I think that when it comes to potentially legal issues requiring the EU to step in, you'll probably need to go through them rather than Steam.

Be aware of that if you plan to not use official servers but enjoy portal custom servers instead, Since they advertised this would be possible, it is a scam. Requested a refund because of false advertising which is protected by EU law. We will see."

So, you want a refund because you cannot progress through portal servers alone anymore collecting XP. I don't think that is covered by EU law seeing as the game is working perfectly fine.

but is steam not responsible to comply with eu laws? they sell their games here so they should be bound by the laws too. Well we will see. As of now they dont seem to care the slightest. which is pretty bad

I've been playing BF 2042 recently and I cannot progress passed Tier One on the weapons etc. To do so I must go and play with the big boys and girls.

They've allowed me to unlock weapons and attachments etc so I can at least get a bit of a start with being a new player, not that it really matters because earning XP for the other three tiers just unlocks some skins from what I can tell. It looks to me this is the same as why you want a refund, possibly. Either way, it is not a reason for a refund as the game is perfectly fine and not broken.

dude. i am not talking about xp farm servers or sth. me and my group had some private custom servers made up which ran fine and all. we could play in "our own world" without caring about the cheater infested pvp. without bots, our servers were obviously too empty so we added them. but now we can not progress and unlock our guns anymore. so what is the point playing this mode at all now. we are now forced to play pvp and unlock there but it sucks so hard i am likely to uninstall before i reach lvl 50 on more than 1 gun...

well the problem is they advertised it exactly for the purpose we were using it. FULL progression on portal. i mean what is next? do they disable and remove helicopters or jets because they dont see any other way to fix things? would you complain and request a refund then?
