Gamers have never been whinier snowflakes would be my take on the current state of gaming. The developers are exactly the same as they have ever been, it has always been about money for all but a tiny fraction of indies.

Gaming has never been better. There are literally so many games out there that you never need to play anything that doesn't appeal to you. If you can't see that, gaming is either not for you, or you're looking with your eyes shut.

The problem is playing AAA slop, go indie and find those gems.

Gaming is worst than the past. Now EarlyAccess ask for charity from players giving nothing back, as a AAA sell shares without give % of the company. Most games remain unfinished, others take an eternity to finish continuing earn from players charity; it's a shame. The worst thing is, some AAA companies start doing it too and all players learn to play unfinished games and spend money on charity for the poor devs. From when minecraft coming out with this idea all start doing the same and gaming wasn't so worst as nowdays and still going more worst with the time pass.

When i start gaming on year 80', doesen't exist unfinished games in the markets until minecraft.

we must vote with our hearts and pockets.
if big devs want to make trash, we give them no hope.
if they want to lie in their communities, let them drown in wasted funds.

If you think your hobby is so terrible, sounds like you need a new hobby.

Depend and what you are looking for; for example if you're looking for trash, gaming is fine.

People have different tastes.

my first game was pong. I had a babysitting job to earn enough money for my arcade habit. gaming is better today than it has ever been.

The moment someone mentions "DEI" or "woke" as reasons for games not being good anymore they lose any credibility and out themselves as a whiny snowflake whose feelings got hurt because a game did not cater exclusively to them.
