Trade restricted for no reason? What the hell is going on?
Alright so I went to make an order on Marketplacetf and made the rather unpleasant discovery that I have suddenly been trade restricted for no reason? I haven't even traded with anyone since July and I added money to my account and bought something in game in tf2 about three days ago, No notifications have appeared on my account and any of the criteria for a trade restriction do not fit me. Does anyone know what the hell is going on? I've lost nine dollars to make this rather unfortunate discovery.

Is the problem with Steam or that third-party site? Send someone on Steam (can be me) a trade offer and report results.

I can't send anyone trade offers. It just says "You cannot trade with X person" (34)"

Two hours ago just to add (Scairy!) to the end of it. But I've had this problem since before then but back then I didn't think anything of it.

So it was related to me changing my name but that still doesn't explain how I had this issue two days ago when I haven't changed my name in three years. A mystery for the ages it would seem.

They changed their profile name. Every profile name change imposes 4 hour trade cooldown on an account during which account can't trade. It's a security feature to prevent certain kind of scams.
