Yeah that's fine. You're allowed to make a bad review on a game then write a bug ticket/report as I've done before and many others have in the past. You're ignoring the actually issue and the reason why I made this post though.
This has nothing to do with Developers/Publishers. This is a Steam issue with the UI deleting reviews when you edit the recommendation button.
It shouldn't effect you as long as you don't change your recommendation from good to bad.
It also doesn't effect anyone at all if they edit their review from the store page. I just tested it and this only happens if you edit your review from your library.
Damn. I understand the frustration.
It is even worse when developers remove (all content from) demo hubs or even (from) their main products. This is also a way of removing critical content for some, that is then only directly accessible, but no longer via the regular way. According to the motto "What does not exist cannot be found".
This is why you keep backup of your reviews. Write it in notepad first, then make a save backup. Easy peasy. I do it all the time. Never lost a review this way. Seriously, you use a pc but do not know to make backups of stuff?
