Steam's new Game Recording - laggy cursor?
I found this discussion from when this feature was in beta, that seems to have the same problem: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/3/4416424597685722360/

I didn't use the beta, but now that the feature is fully released, I tried recording a few minutes of Final Fantasy XIV gameplay and, just as described in that thread above, most of the video is fine except for the cursor. The cursor seems laggy.

I didn't change anything in the settings, everything is default. My graphics card is RTX 4070.
Is this a known issue? Is there also a known fix or a workaround for this?

I have the same choppy cursor movement in all background recordings. The gameplay is smooth as butter and really nice quality, it's just the mouse that moves very choppy and only in the recording, mouse is smooth when playing.

Yup, that is exactly what happens for me as well. It's like 99% perfect and 1% really annoying :D

I have noticed the same issue since beta. I was hopeful that when it was out of beta it would be fixed or changed cause I really love the built in recording with the addition of built in editing.

Having same problem on Kingdom Rush Alliance, since mouse pointer is kinda important in the game I had to resort to OBS.

Nothing so far.
I tried to change the recording quality, Enable/disable GPU Hardware encoding, Enable/disable HEVC....But the issue is always the same, in my case it's with Company of heroes 3 : Choppy cursor
Hardware: 4070RTX + 7800 X3D

Same problem. Getting solid FPS in my recordings but the cursor visually seems choppy as if its running at halved framerate. Seems unrelated to the game itself as its happened in all 3 games I've tried to record atm.
