I chose to disable it cuz it will take up a lot of hard drive space pretty fast if you leave it running at all just turn it on when you want to use it and turn it off when you don't
Wrong.
Unless you set the recording time to something silly like 10080 minutes.
It's a loop recorder and won't use more space than what you set it to (globally and individual game settings).
You can set the hotkey in the settings. Steam > Settings > Game Recording.
I tested it with Balatro last night for a few minutes.
Yes, I've noticed the same thing. It still records in the background even when you want it to record manually only. Super annoying.
I mean set the record for all games in back ground, and diseqble the record for few of them, by clicking on proprietes on this games, click on record and diseable the auto record for them only.
If u go to the generals settings for the record, the games u diseable the record with be shown there
