Stolen CS:GO skins
Hello this is the story where my CS:GO skins were stolen.

Steam support tells me they can`t do anything about it. Steam sucks.

I won`t recomment steam to anyone from now on. They don`t take any care for their customers.

I logged into steam to find my whole inventory turned into gems and my skins on csgo to get selled dirt cheap on market place and then they bought DOTA2 items even tho i never played DOTA2...

Now im left with 0 money on my steam wallet, 0 skins, and a broken trust bond with steam...

I even asked Steam if they could find the IP from the login of the hacker but they denied.

I feel steam is more supportive for the hackers than its own customers...

They lost a player today...:steamthumbsdown:

I mean, if I give you the keys to my house, and you rob me. It's not my landlord's fault.

You signed into a phishing site, and gave away your username/password. How is that Steam's fault?

How do you know i signed into a webside? I super careful of that i do and when they maneged to sneak behind my steam guard and the steam market waiting time when selling items then its not in my hands. They hacked steam and me so how is this my fault.

1. Because that's how it happens every time.
2. They didn't hack Steam or your account. If they could do that, they'd be hacking accounts with higher value and doing it in a bigger scale to maximize profits before the breach is blocked.
3. Your groups make it obvious you've been using 3rd party sites associated with account hijacking.

Because people with accounts worth 100X yours, have had no issue with account security.

Nobody hacked Steam, you had your details phished by being careless. It's often from people entering their details into a fake Steam login page. Login with via Steam through the API is fine, but people are often tricked.

What a weird coiendence how pretty much everyone who comes here about their account being phished happens to be involved in CSGO trading and uses 3rd party trading websites. Definitely not related at all.

Ignorance like this is why you will never learn. You and only you allowed your credentials to be phished. Suggesting Steam is 'hacked' and Valve is to blame is absolutely ridiculous.

OP, don't try to blame your own ♥♥♥♥ ups on getting hacked. you willingly gave your information to a scam site, and got scammed. that's all on you.

I hate to be the one to tell you that you're not going to make or break Steam and I don't want to see you go. You shot yourself in the foot because you trusted a creep with their cleaver dialog.

All subscribers are responsible for their own account as per the agreement.

Sure you want to walk away from that cool profile? You learned something the hard way and you're not the only one. Don't be loose with your trust even though you've been here so long.

Consider this, my home was broken into while at work long ago. The police took the report and I described my property losses. Never heard from the police again and didn't complain.

I understand what you guys are thinking but i have not yet found were from i got hacked i started using this profile after 5 years of not playing i played last in 2016. And im just trying now to figure out were they broke into my account. I haven’t logged into any trading website since 2016.. :(

Your account was not 'hacked'.

YOU GAVE AWAY your information. Any and all non-steam sites are SCAMS. Collecting your information, and selling it to scammers to use against other users.

This is the third time in 20 minutes I'm having to post this.

DO NOT TRADE YOUR ITEMS!

Your account is compromised.

Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Deauthorize all devices https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://psteamproxy.yuanyoumao.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/dev/apikey
** If there is nothing in the API key area, that’s fine. If there IS something, remove it. Nothing should be there.**

No items that have been traded away during this time will be returned to you.

Change your Email’s password on your computer for safety

Also report the account’s profile as scammer, and STOP visiting 3rd party trade sites!!

They needed account name, password and code.
Even if steam was hacked, it needs the code.
Thats actually one of the very few moments the code actually has a purpose

you're legit part of 2 csgo trading sites, which both require you to login with your steam credentials totally careful
