How do you make Axel good?
His combo is slow and his follow through with his uppercut has that slight delay at the end which usually gets him hit, breaking a combo. His specials are also so situation I find myself not even using them unless I have to because again, he has that damned delay where he can't react fast enough, getting hit, and losing the health when it would have been more worth it to just take the initial hit. What am I doing wrong? Compared to Adam he's a PoS. Compared to Blaze, he's a PoS. Compared to Cherry, he's a PoS. Compared to himself in earlier games, he's a PoS.

He feels like SoR2 Max. But SoR2 Max could at least f*cking slide to get into position. :steamsad:

It's less the character than the enemies each being overly efficient at cheaping you out of practically anything you do at any split-second they're able to.

It's designed for sheer counter-cheese play on your part and memorising every single spawn to do so. Was loving it until I realised it myself.

All you can do is fight cheese with cheese and pepperoni. With proper timing, charge up attacks (the kick) effectively let you dash with blitzes and specials. Grand Uppercut can be cancelled via Dragon Wing. This let's you do more advanced combos, especially with wall bounces. Combining these things with bread and butter attacks (basic, back throws, and jump kicks) will give you more than a fighting chance.

The problem with Axel is the animation and his walking speed. His Blitz and his Specials end up in some sort of pose where he stays stuck for a millisecond. That millisecond is enough for an enemy get behind and hit you breaking his combo. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying. He hits harder than blaze and adam but he's less mobile. Honestly Axel is the character I enjoy playing the most because it makes the game harder but at the same time it's the character that leaves me more frustrated while playing. I see my combos getting broken by stupid slaps and I rage like hell because of that

Axel is already strong, his combo output is immense. All he really needs is for his attacks to be less interruptable and probably increase his walk speed SLIGHTLY. His direction special (the multi punches) should be invincible for the duration.

Also probably give him a couple more cancel options, like the ability to cancel the final hit of Grand Upper instead of just the first, and he's complete beast.

Axel has insane combo potential and so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Iframe's with his moves. I don't really understand the issue.

I guess you've not seen the iframes the rest of the cast have if you think Axel has many. He can barely do anything without getting punished for it.
