During any gameplay pause screen will pop up on its own and game will freeze

I was doing training and story mode and it happened 3 times, so i figure it can happen in any gameplay.
Edit: Yeah it happens in Survival mode too. only got to 3rd level and bammo

Pause screen will pop up on its own and the game will freeze...no inputs on gamepad do anything. cannot alt F4, have to end task to exit the frozen game.

Game verification shows no probs.

So it's a bug that's gotta be fixed, game isn't so playable until then.

1) How many times did the game pause itself when playing SOR4?
2) Do you confirm that the game doesn't only pause itself in survival mode but also happens in other game modes?
3) Was there any other app running in the background? If yes, can you tell me which one(s)?
4) Which controller or fightstick were you using? Was it wired or Bluetooth paired?
5) Can you send us your dxdiag using wetransfer or sendanywhere?

I was able to get around this bug by hitting X on the end task window...then I could resume the game and the bug didn't happen again during the session.

still should be fixed tho

1. At least once when playing that game.
2. yes because it happened while I was playing the story mode, level 1.
3. Steam was on, my antivirus (windows defender) and maybe google chrome (youtube or spotify)
4. wired xbox one controller
5. give us an e-mail to send you the dxdiag...
