I know the developers are familiar with it as I had mentioned it before. It hasn't been fixed yet. However, I think I might have a theory about the issue as I experienced a similar issue with two other games I bought.
Launching Dead By Daylight after playing Those Who Remained in Big Picture Mode resulted in DBD getting stuck on a loading screen. While not exactly the same, I did noticed when the BSOD happened and the circumstances mirror that situation. This got me thinking, could the BSOD be a similar issue?
Anyway, What I did was play Streets of Rage 4 for a bit through BPM (I played and beat Stage 2 as Cherry), then turned the game off without shutting down steam and relaunched the game through Steam's Big Picture Mode again right away, which was when the BSOD happened. The reason I bring up not shutting down steam and launching the game right away was when I did this with those two games, DBD got stuck on the loading screen like I mentioned. However, shutting down Steam between playing the two games did allow DBD to launch like normal. I hope this helps with fixing this issue and results in the company's future games being able to avoid it altogether.
