Got Stuck in Loading screen
So I was playing easy story with Estel (I am sooo out of practice, from when I played maniac SOR2 on the Genesis) in fullscreen mode using an XBox mini controller (PowerA model # 1428275-01). I'd just finished part of the Concert stage, and the loading screen for the new part of the stage came up and .... stayed. The screen covered over my desktop, and I wasn't really able to see anything else except the Ctrl-Alt-Delete screen. Eventually, I got a dialog box that Streets of Rage 4 wasn't responding, and I selected "end process." I've updated my graphics and keyboard drivers in the last week. I use the retro soundtrack and an alternate button layout. I have the DLC but I don't play that (yet).

I also occasionally have people showing up waay above the playing field in the first part of the Ship stage.
