It's okay to have a difference of opinion, but I think it's amazing and still play it almost every day.

I bought this thinking it was awesome, but it was just peak! Combat was better than Battletoads, SoR2 and it feels like 90s with QoL

It is what it is. It was great in the arcades in the 90s. The environment does add a lot to the enjoyment factor.

I think it's good but I wish it had more game modes for more replayability.

I get what you mean its not like the original games. It has a few tweaks. Are they improvements? Not entirely but is it nice to play something that is close? Yes. I know sometimes people expect a lot out of a game I get that. I know its not the old school game that I grew up with but its close enough. If you play the classic soundtrack instead of the new its much more fun. I don't like the new soundtrack I think they tried to hard to mix it into whatever they thought streets of rage was. Its cool techno music people not punk or whatever that soundtrack was.

Go with the alternate soundtrack much more fun.

You need survival mode. Get that chicken++ that boosts your life when you do damage. Then this game gets really really good.

I have many Sega Genesis consoles the best one is from 1989 MK-1601-22 it says "high definition graphics" on it. The difference is overtime the chips became more integrated and cheaper to produce making the quality worse. I was picking them up for $30 opening them all and cleaning them. In this process I observed how different they all are inside. The early models have this sound chip that makes the FM synthesis sound ridiculous. The later models cannot produce that quality of sound. I see a lot of people online claiming they are selling that original model but it's not.

I heard about that. Pretty sure mine is an original as I bought it right around the system's release and it sounds amazing 😍 Love how the system has such a distinct sound.

Don't know what OP was on. This game missed the point of beat em ups that was well-known to 90s devs- it had to be pick up and play. SOR4 felt like they tried to cram too many half-ass fighting game mechanics into a format that doesn't need it. Most music is uninspired synth slop, game just wasn't fun.

I probably played through SOR 2 20 times over on the Genesis, I gave up on SOR4.

The move sets are a little too limited.

Guardian Heroes is waaaay better than this.
