I see a lot of similarities with that of Kohan 2 and of Warcraft 3. Maybe the graphics engine? Maybe the races?? Maybe the all against the shadow/undead (similar of Wc3 against the demons and the whole world defends the great tree).
A lot of differences too, of course. Kohan 2 is a filler. By this I mean it explains the why, the what, and the purpose that Kohan 1 left out. I recommend playing Kohan 1 first before playing Kohan 2. That way, you understand what is going on. Some people jump to a game because it has better graphics, but in MY opinion I think Kohan 1 had more depth when it came to the story, rather than Kohan 2 -- as stated: filler.
Kohan 2 did fill in a lot of questions as to why certain things happened in Kohan 1 and I'm happy with the overall Kohan series. I truly think there is a lot more potential for this game if TimeGate stuck with it.
