Though not episodic, not in the traditional sense anyways, I believe Life Is Strange games do go on pretty deep discounts a couple months after release so you just got to wait for that.

These games are cheaper because:
RDR2 is old now and everybody tried it so it is cheaper
Death Stranding was out for quite some time now, everybody who has good taste in vodeo games already played it. Directors Edition is just round the corner and price for vanilla version will come down more.
Cyberpunk 2077 was a fiasco and game got so much bad preas that selling it all is difficult, hence cheaper price to get some sales.

True Colours was just released. It is fresh like daisies. Wait one year and it will be cheaper.

It's basically only $25-$30 if you add up what you get in the deluxe edition.

You're literally getting 3 games and a dlc

but to add up deluxe edition stuff you need to buy deluxe for 70€

people say that you can finish the game in 7-10h which is not a lot of game time considering the price.

True. I have 120h with Cyberpunk and i can still play and discover new things and there are coming up dlcs to that.

One year? Once the first Youtube full-walkthroughs are out (which they already are mostly 1-2 days after release) the game will not gain any more traction with the current pricing. People will just watch everything they need and want on Youtube and not bother paying full price. This game will be down by 50% by Christmas.

I am not so sure. Watching and playing game yourself are two different things. It is like driving a car, or anything else in life. It is more fun when you do it. Youtube will only create more hype so people will buy it at inflated price just to complete the game their own way.

Just watch a favorite twitch streamer play it , its what i did with the last of us 2 and cyberbug 2077 that i didnt feel warranted me spending money on them.

Its AAA game, of course it will cost 60$. What did you expect? Its also a niche product, not a lot of people like to play games like that, niche products often cost higher in order to make profit. If this game sells great(better than previous) i bet next LiS will be longer and with more choices. This game already have much better graphics, audio and more choices with consequence than previous LiS games.

Then don't buy it simple as that. No one is forcing you to.

Have y'all developed a game and realized the costs going into it. Mo-cap, artist voice over sessions. It's not a pixel game.

OP a guy with steam for 2yrs and only 22 games and mostly freaking garbage. Worrying about about price.

Way too expensive for the length this game is. Finished it in two sittings....

If it's too expensive, don't buy and wait for discount in the next months. Or don't buy it.

Development and developers have to be paid.
