OP does realize that much of this game makes fun of Star Wars, yes?

there's not really much sequel-related, outside of the story missions. if you don't like the stuff from them, just avoid it. simple as not going to the planets from the sequels and not playing as any of the sequel characters.

This guy thinks the majority of the game is story mode and not using episodes as planets to drop on and do the busy work all lego games demand.

You'll experience the story for a few minutes and you're left to go travel on back wherever.
You play the episodes to unlock the maps. It's that simple. Lego games aren't storyline games they are activities centered around story ideas.

you might find that the game makes fun of the disney movies, pointing out and criticising the things that dont make sense, it's kind of refreshing.

also it's on pc gamepass, so I would actually recommend you dont buy it and get that for a month instead.
