And being nostalgic for a game doesn't suddenly mean my opinion is moot, Complete Saga is very obviously the better game here unless shiny-looking lighting effects and jokes that try way too hard are enough to convince you that the hallway simulator is better.
( if you care at all about them... )
Also, this game is NOT open world and people who say that have no idea what open world is.
Story: Sequels included, Rey mistakenly portrayed as the center piece of the saga on the title screen
Level design: an open world connected by tiny levels instead of extensive levels connected by a semi open world
Performance: I ran into barely any bugs and no performance problems, which has never happened before in a Lego game on PC for me, Complete Saga as an older Lego game will likely have some
The first is definitely a good modernization of the formula, the second is controversial and a negative from my view, the third is in my opinion the wrong direction, because the focus should be on the story and not 140 fetch quests. The gameplay is just not (and shouldnt be given the target groups) diverse enough to stay interesting after a thousand repetitive riddles. Ive wrote more about it in my Steam review, I think you should be able to open it from my profile.
I personally prefer the Complete Saga, because it isnt artificially stretched, though it has been a long time since I played it on Wii, so there might be some nostalgia affecting my judgement.
