So I'm playing the game on steam under linux, with the proton 9 emulator, and on my bed home pc, the game plays fine for hours and hours, but on my laptop, something happens periodically, and it causes the oddest hang.
So I'll just be playing normally, and the game will suddenly freeze. Then if I alt tab to get a windows list, the game comes back to life as long as it is in the background. So I can move the steam window down to uncover the app, and I can see it running happily in the background, but any attempt to bring the game back to the foreground, and it hangs again, and won't even repaint the play area if I move windows over it. But move it to the background, with steam in front again, and its fine.

Very very odd. I've tried it in window mode and not, and at full res and not, and it seems to do it the same. I'm guessing some kind of interrupt is putting it in the background, when the game didn't expect it, and it is unable to react and come back to the front.

So I inevitably have to let it run with steam in front, until it autosaves, then kill it, but I often have to wait for that. If I wait whilst its frozen in the forground, then autosave doesn't work either.

Like I say, very very odd (and I play all games on linux and this is a first).
