We do not have an exclusive deal with Epic.

Yes, we will be on Stadia temporarily first. However, we never stated that Steam would be the first or only platform. That being said, we ARE still doing playtests (on Steam!) with anyone in the game's Discord. If you'd like to check it out, feel free to drop by. https://discord.gg/funktroniclabs

Btw, here's a copy/paste of the initial announcement we made on Discord, which explains why we are releasing first on Stadia, and very soon after on Steam and consoles.
Hey, all. Today we are announcing that Wave Break will launch first on Stadia this summer, with consoles and PC coming later. The financial needs to finish the game while maintaining full independence and creative control made Stadia the best choice for Wave Break.

We know some of you won't be able to play this version, but we are still working to make sure everyone can play it as soon as we can. Hope everyone will stick around and play on whatever platform works for you.

We really appreciate everyone who has participated in the network playtests and given us such amazing feedback! We'll have something for you to express our thanks, regardless of platform, more details on that at a later point.

Bail on Stadia, that be a sinking ship. No one in the industry in taking that platform seriously anymore. You may actually LOSE money by putting a game there.

It's only coming first to Stadia, it will be everywhere else soon after.

£15 sounds fair, About the same price as Fall Guys. Hopefully you'll get a sizeable player base for pvp though
