I am a very prolific user & advocate of GOG, I just think it'd be good to own game on both platforms.
In case anything happens to either one of them.

Unless someone wants to do an enhanced edition, it's better off on GoG. GoG doesn't encrypt their executables, while Steam does, so it's easier to get fan made patches to work on GoG versions than Steam versions. Often, with Steam versions of older games (like Dragon Age), you have to replace the Steam executable with the GoG executable to patch them.

Right now NWN2 isn't too bad, it needs the Jade Empire stutter fix and, IIRC, the 64 memory addressing patch, but works fine other than those fixes. However, both of those require an unencrypted executable.
