Question for the Devs: A little Help on how Turrets are assembled in this game
I know it was mentioned that you would not provide any feedback on how to use the Unreal 4 engine, but I have a little riddle that I can't seem to solve:

I hadn't tackled turrets yet, but I would like to have one of my own.

I have both created a base and a gun. Added both Sockets, but then I got lost.

The issue I'm running into is as follows:

I imagined the turret to work like a ship Blueprint where each blueprint would be comprised of a gun base (with an Axis point) and a gun and that combined blueprint would be used as a turret on the ship.

But regarding turrets, there seems to be just 3 STATIC Meshes.

To take the example of the Artemis

We have 3 static meshes

- SM_Turret_Artemis which has an Axis and a Smoke socket
- SM_Turret_Artemis_Gun which is the barrel and has a Muzzle socket
- SM_Turret_Artemis_FULL which is NOT a template of the first two as anticipated, but rather a Static Mesh???

This FULL turret is then used as a 'FlareTurretTop' or 'FlareTurretBottom' ...

I'm trying to create a turret in a similar fashion but I'm a bit lost now since the blueprint of the ship contains the static mesh.

How is the FULL gun referenced by the first seperate two parts?, The Weapon_Artemis file in the Catalog\weapons folder does not shed any light on that either.


In other words: where is the link between the first two static meshes and the FULL turret
