Session #7: Player Trading
7.1: Ability to gift resources

It happened that I ordered a ship to a shipyard only to notice shortly after the typical lack of steel. So I set myself on route to provide the necessary resource (14 days to go and come back). I was hauling 100 units per run, but at the second run the shipyard was broke! They had no money to pay for my steel, and so I had to press J, sell 10 units, press J again, sell 10 more units, and so on and forth for eternity.

Therefore I suggest to implement the ability to gift resources to an infrastructure. This could influence the player Diplomatic standing with the interested Faction, and it could be the last hope of a player that went broke, should the AI decide to gift some resources due to product needs or good diplomatic standing. An unoperative facility is of benefit to no-one. Plus, it would also be very immersive and do wonders with the points I made in sessions 1, 2, and especially 5 (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/app/681330/discussions/0/1471967615859023547/?ctp=13).


7.2: Player hauling

The trade Hubs could host and trade an excess of stock from the sector manufacturing facilities (and to stock sector needs). This would hopefully allow the AI to produce more if possible, and take away some of the frustration that comes when you have to fly an Atlas in 10 little stations to purchase XY amount of a given good.

As an alternative, even if I don't know if you can pull it off nicely, it would be nice if the player could utilize the same trade-screen that the non-player fleets can use. It would speed up the time (just select goodies and press J).


7.3: Ability to move goods from and to player-owned structures, even if they are set not to trade

This one is self explanatory, plus, technically, ain't "trade" anyway (had few epic "WTF moments" you couldn't believe).

Thanks for the feedback :) Gifting resources is not a bad idea at all, and it's something that happens IRL too.
